Which Icon? Where is this speed Icon located? I have no apparent speed problems but it would be nice to know where to look. :?:

Log into Tonido
Click on Settings Tab
Click on Network Tab
Under Tonido Networks Settings
Check the Drop Down -> Network Speed

We have some more documentation at: http://www.tonido.com/support/Tonido_AdminUserManual

That would be good. Is there a reason not to have even higher thresholds? In my case, with FiOS I have 15MB/s upload; would be nice if the Tonido was not the gating factor in file xfer speeds.

Alternately, I have another question: is there a way to roll back the webshare/tonido admin software? I was getting true max download speeds previously (on an external network) from my tonidoplug; now it is capped at 50KB/s, which is way too slow for xfers of media files etc.

You must have been using speed of "Unlimited". At that speed when transferring large files over slow networks there was a hang issue on the plug and that is why there is a restriction on the speed. You can set higher speeds by choosing 100KBps in the network speed. We will add higher speeds in the next release.

So I'm clear on this. When using the Tonidoplug, I am currently limited to a maximum of 100KB/s xfer speed for file transfer? Does this limitation exist if I am just going to use Tonido software only on my pc instead of the plug?

This speed limit is unacceptable for me, the reason I bought a plug is to replace my FTP server, and even that was providing me with xfer speeds of at least 5X what I am gettting right now with the plug.

This is a five year old thread and is no longer relevant.

There is no speed limit set in tonido any more. If you disable relay and use your own port forwarding, then the speed is whatever your hardware/network will allow.
