I had followed
http://computingplugs.com/index.php/Ins ... Components
to install nx on the tonidoplug. All compilations seem to work but
when connecting to the nx server on the tonidoplug, the window showed up
and immediately disappears. The /var/log/nxserver.log showed errors like
nxnode_reader: NX> 1004 Error: NX Agent exited with exit status 1. To troubleshoot set SESSION_LOG_CLEAN=0 in node.conf and investigate "/home/richard/.nx/F-C-TonidoPlug-1002-5D6AB3B6A703B8B31BECF6D2D32AE20A/session". You might also want to try: ssh -X myserver; /usr/NX/bin/nxnode --agent to test the basic functionality.
The session file referred to showed the following:
Info: Established X client connection.
Error: Failure decoding data in context [P].
Warning: Failed to get the control parameters.
Warning: Failed to get the shared memory parameters.
Info: Using shared memory parameters 1/1/1/0K.
Warning: Render not available on the remote display.
Info: Using local device configuration changes.
Error: Aborting session with 'Could not open default font 'fixed''.
I used the exact install procedure on a vmware virtual server running ubuntu 9.04
and it worked fine. So I suspect the issue may be something specifically related with
the tonidoplug platform.
Thanks for any info to make nx install work on tonidoplug. I already got vnc working on tonidoplug but I'd like to have faster session speed using nx.

For the record, TonidoPlug has a regular install of Ubuntu 9.04 for the plugs. It doesn't have any crazy modifications or anything, so you should have no problems using guides from that site. I don't use NX so I can't help you though.
