BTW: There are several soft-linked directory paths to the pictures, but in case it helps, the original locations on Galaxy S4 are:
Internal: /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera
SD Card: /storage/extSdCard/DCIM/Camera
The path on the external SD card is not being picked up, the one on internal is.
Android BETA: Automatic backup of Photos and Videos support
Re: Android BETA: Automatic backup of Photos and Videos supp
Seems like I have the same issue as cliffhanger_uk; if there are pictures in the internal storage path, then it will ignore any on the external SD card.
Most of the higher end Androids have some kind of "burst mode" support which takes several shots at once, and these always write to internal storage because of performance; so the app needs to look in both places for uploads (or even better, have a configuration switch which allows the user to choose either or both locations).

I just got updated to the production version through Google Play, and the same problem still occurs. Since the beta thread will probably be closed down now, I'm going to create a new thread to keep track of the issue.

We plan to add support to manually add new paths to be backed up as well.

When? It's not much use to me if it's backing up the wrong directory..

We are working on it now. In a couple of weeks.

Re: Android BETA: Automatic backup of Photos and Videos supp
Just for the record, I am experiencing a similar problem. The details:
The photo upload will not begin (presumably because the "remote storage does not exist"). Additionally, the app will not allow me to change the "Save To" destination; when I attempt to do so, the app does not respond to the press.
Galaxy S5 (Samsung-SM-G900V).
Android Version 4.4.2
Android App version 3.1
Server Version 4.79.0.26297 on Win 7 Home Premium x64
Screenshot of Photo backup settings attached (Progress, which is not visible in the screenshot, is 0%). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail.

This shows that you have not setup a remote store location in the Tonido Server itself.
The app only shows what was set in the server.
To set a valid store location, see (Specifically setting up the save location): http://www.tonido.com/support/display/d ... ndroid+app
