The solution to allow regular accounts to work is confirmed to be working for me as well. sudo also works after suid setting change.

Now tonidiplug is really working as claimed :-) Thanks a lot!

I don't know if the "next image release" has occurred yet, but I just purchased a Tonido plug and this fix was necessary. I eventually found this thread seven pages in to the forum search results for "ssh".

If there isn't some place more obvious that I missed this information it would be helpful to have it placed on the wiki as searching brought me to that several times.

Is there a particular "Plug Image Version" that can be referenced as affected by this issue?

I'm running --
Plug Image Version: 0.1.7

# uname -r

This is part of the 0.1.8 image version.
It will be in the next batch of plug.

The changes in 0.1.8 are not major. Can you please make this change manually.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Here are the changes in 0.1.8
- Changed /etc/sysctl.d/10-process-security.conf. Value of vm.mmap_min_addr: 65536 -> 32768
- Changed the permission for file /usr/bin/sudo. Command used: chmod u+s /usr/bin/sudo
