Over the last two or so months, Tonido on my iPhone 4S stops with about 1-2 seconds left to play on a music track about 9 out of 10 times. I've waited for a few minutes to see if it will eventually advance, but it doesn't, and as soon as I hit the next track button, the next track does play. The phone and server are both at the current version, but it was happening prior to the last version upgrade as well. I've tried restarting the phone several times, but that hasn't fixed the issue. I've not noticed this issue when playing music on another computer via web browser. Any thoughts on what would be causing this?
Thanks
Sean

What network are you on? is it Wifi or 3G? The mediaplayer has tight timing requirement before it gives up (there is not a lot we can control in terms of timeout or buffering values).

It happens on both 3G and wifi.

Wifi too!. hmm.
Is your tonido server on Tonidoplug or on a desktop?
Are you transcoding (if so, set it to use "original" bit rate)
Is this for non MP3 file or for Mp3 file also? It definitely should not be doing this behavior !

Re: Music on iPhone app hardly ever advances to next track
I'm streaming from a desktop, and I was transcoding. I've now changed the bit rate to Original which apparently has fixed the problem. Unfortunately I now have to deal with some really bad buffering - most times after a track starts to play for a second or two, it will pause for up to 10 seconds or so until it resumes.

Does this pause on Wifi with original MP3 files? That is unheard of.
This can happen on 3g.

I also have been having the same problem - when playing a song it stops with 2 seconds left and will not continue to the next song. I can press the 'Next Track' button but again, stops with 2 seconds left and will not continue.
Running server on my iMac, using an iPhone 5. Happens even on WiFi.
This was not a problem before. Very frustrating.
I'm not sure what Transcoding is and where that can be adjusted.

Re: Music on iPhone app hardly ever advances to next track
I'm using Tonido a lot less lately. Having to manually go to next track after every track gets tedious quickly, especially while driving.
I am using mp4 files so there is no transcoding.
Again, this was not a problem before.

95+% of the time I have to hit Next Track to listen to an album of music. I have a sad face.
Re: Music on iPhone app hardly ever advances to next track
I am having the same problem. Much of my music is in m4a (iTunes rip) format, but much is also in .mp3 format. I will frequently get songs stopping with 2 seconds left to play and no advance to the next track.
I mostly use the mobile app on iOS over WiFi and am also using the desktop server (4.79.0.26297). Bitrate is set as "original" on the app. Does not seem to be related to the length of the track, either.
Does the mobile app cache the next song while playing the current song? Or does it load the next song when it comes around to the next song only?
