NFS server

Postby sacchibelli » Sun Jan 30, 2011 2:38 pm

Hi, I have a tonido plug running the following kernel

root@pogo:/etc/init.d# uname -a
Linux pogo 2.6.34 #1 PREEMPT Tue Jul 20 12:55:57 EDT 2010 armv5tel GNU/Linux

I installed nfs server (following this guide https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SettingUpNFSHowTo) but when I try to start the server I get the following error

root@pogo:/# sudo /etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server start
* Not starting NFS kernel daemon: no support in current kernel.

This means that I have to compile my own kernel on the tonido plug? This looks to me quite complex and I'm wondering if there is any help or suggestion to install nfs server on tonido plug.
Thanks,
Enrico

I found a workaround looking at this website. It sees to be a bung in ubuntu.

http://cloudservers.rackspacecloud.com/ ... untu_-_NFS

Now the nfs server seems to correctly work on my tonido plug
