TonidoPlug 2 Dying?

Postby unsignedzero » Sun Oct 05, 2014 10:18 pm

Recently whnever I turn on my plug, there are times when the blue status lights fail to light up but the network lights on the ethernet blink. I'm unable to SSH into it. If I turn it off, remove power, and connect to it a few hours later it works. It seems to happen more often when it's hot so I'm guessing that's an overheating problem.

Recently if I leave my plug idling for about 30 mminutes and reboot, I get the same problem and it does seem warm. Is this normal or is there something wrong?

(This is still happening as I try to setup Arch on it.)

As of a few minutes ago, the device has cooled down but the status lights are not turning on.
Just another zero.

Are you using with internal hard disk? High speed drives like 7200 rpm drives tend to put out a lot of heat and can cause issues.

If it is not internal hdd, can you reference your purchase order number and send a note to support@codelathe.com and we can look at RMA processing if it is in warranty period
