Viewing HTML files on a remote system or on local system.

With previous versions of TP2 I could send an address with the form:-
https://xxxxxxxxxx.tonidoid.com/ui/core ... xxxx/xxxxx%xxxxxx%20xxxxxx/Index.html
to a remote viewer, who could directly open the index file in their browser and allow them to view all other web pages on my TP2 without first expressly downloading all HTML files.
Obviously I used a shortened form of address similar to what you now do.
As I see it now, I can only share the folder containing 800 odd HTML files by giving them access to download all the files to their HD before locating and running the Index file to be able to view all the pages.
I can share image, music, files etc which can be opened by clicking on them or by slideshow. Great.
But I seem to have lost a valuable facility. I only seem to have a file transfer utility for HTML.
Maybe I haven't got to understand the latest upgrade.
Or is software available which will get me back to where I want and expect to be?

Yes, sharing system has now been overhauled to make it use the same user interface as normal admin interface, that did result in losing the ability to open html files directly however.

Well that clears that up.
Looks like one Plug2 headed for the bin.
This removes the whole point of me having one.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Then again, can I revert to an earlier version of the plug programming?
If so where can I access it so that I get my HTML viewing back?

Thanks.

If you do factory reset of the plug you will go back to the old version. You can check tonidouser.com for guides. You can also boot off an USB key and run an older version there and let the new version be in the flash.

I think it sill works. The URL will not shown to you. But If you type: "http://xxx.tonidoid.com/app/websharepro/share/public/index.html" it will show you the index.html in the public folder.

Thank you! :D
I will dust off the box and connect it up and give it a try.
Being non Unix, and at my age, I find delving into the arcane Unix arts a PIA.
Will post when I have tried it.

Jep.

It works, at least as of version 3.66.0.23160. I have not updated to the latest yet.
