I cannot see the USB drive that I connected to TonidoPlug2

Postby tonido4umadmin » Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:12 pm

I connected the tonido2 as in the directions. I can see the tonido on my
WDTVlive and my computer. I cannot see the USB drive that I connected to it.
The USB drive is a 2 terabyte segate. It has all my movies on it and I
cannot access any of them. It is very frustrating because there are no
specific directions as to how this device works or how to set up the USB
drive. I have it hard wired through a CAT 5 cable to my computer and WDTV
box via a router. All I want to do is stream movies to my WD boxes via the
tonido. Please help. thanx

Here is the link to manage USB drives. http://www.tonido.com/support/display/docs/Configuration+-+Manage+USB+Drives
Did you see this help page already ? Where did you look for documentation?

If your HDD is compatible, the disk should be available on your network. It is very straight forward.

I also have a WDTVLive. I connect to my TonidoPlug1 over the LAN and listen to MP3s on the USB drive connected to the TonidoPlug. I have not tried videos, and I have not tried streaming; but I don't think the WDTVLive supports streaming anyway. I only remember a couple of times having difficulty; but that was remedied by restarting the WDTVLive box.
