Newbie Question on Help Documentation Discrepancy

Hello,

I received my TonidoPlug yesterday, and immediately broke open the box to get it set up only to be stumped by the time I hit Step 3.

The QuickStart documentation included in the box lists the following steps:
1) Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the plug and the other end into the router.
2) Connect Plug to a power outlet
3) Wait for the LED to turn green and connect a USB storage device.

The documentation on http://www.tonido.com/help is slightly different:
To start using your TonidoPlug you need to connect these cables.
Connect TonidoPlug to your home router with a CAT 5/5e/6 ethernet cable.
Connect an external USB hard drive to the USB slot with an USB 2.0 cable.
Finally, connect TonidoPlug to a power outlet with the power cable provided in the box.
Now wait until the LED turns green.

Notice that the quickstart guide says to connect the plug into an outlet, and wait for the light to turn green before attaching a USB device. The website says to connect the USB device first, then plug the device into the outlet.

Which is the correct procedure? Does it even matter which gets done first?

Scott

Website instructions are always latest and updated.
Though it is okay connecting USB disk after the plug is powered on, in some rare cases (slower harddisks) it works only if the disk is connected and the the plug is powered on.
So please follow the website instructions. We will try to update the box inserts soon. Thanks for reporting.
