Romanian translation

Postby Nicu » Thu Apr 07, 2011 4:57 am

Hello! This is an interesting product and I'm thinking about translating it. Are there any Romanian Tonido users? Also, considering I do not currently own a Tonido Plug I have some questions:

1. Is there an integrated help in the UI?
2. Is there any way to test my translation if I decide to do it? (maybe allow me to connect to one of your own test Tonidos?)
3. How many translatable strings are there?

Thank you for your support and interest. We currently have a few languages translated such as Bulgarian, Latvian contributed by Tonido users.

For instructions, please go to:
http://www.tonido.com/support/Tonido_Translations

To answer your questions:
1) Integrated help as in for Tonido? If so, we link to documentation for help.
2) You don't have to own a TonidoPlug to contribute/test for translation. You can use your current desktop Tonido software to test your translations.
3) Around about 1400. Of course, you can do it on your pace.

Notes:
1) We don't have a way of figuring the number of Romanian users.
2) Please update Tonido to the latest release before you start on your translations.

Thank you very much.

:) Thank you for your answer! Out of curiosity I started translating and got to 5%. But now that I'd like to see how my translation looks like I found out I cannot login with my previously created account. I can only access the account creation page. Where's the authentication one?

Did you install it on a new computer?

I'm not sure what you mean... fresh OS install? new hardware?

I'm using Linux Mint Debian Edition 32-bit on a 3 year-old PC (Core 2 Duo E6320, 2 GB DDR2 667MHz etc) and using the Tonido software I got redirected to:

http://127.0.0.1:10001/ui/core/index.html

I created an account and now I don't know how to login. The Tonido sys-tray application keeps pointing me to the New Tonido Account page. I used the username "Nicu" when I registered but the "Recover Account" option doesn't help at all. It keeps saying my e-mail is not correct. What am I missing?

Hi there.
I recently discovered Tonido and found it very interesting. Great job, guys!

After I downloaded and installed it, I noticed there wasn't a Romanian translation available and landed on the forum.

I figured that the original author of this topic didn't finish the job, so I started to translate Tonido from scratch. I just finished doing so, but something's wrong. All the strings for the core application have been translated, but the horizontal menu is still in English. Also, the guest login screen is in English and some other lines inside the dashboard.
I'm posting some screenshots to show you exactly what I'm on about.
I'm running version 2.30.0.15386.

I hope there's a solution.
Cheers!

Thanks for the quick response. I tried the French translation, and it's the same situation there.

I have now started to translate the Webshare app.

Webshare translation is now complete.
I've found another small problem with the navigation. In any other language except English, the Desktop and My Documents folders are not accessible from the central navigation page. They can only be accessed from the left navigation panel.

I'm waiting for further instructions.
