Failed contacting host/Failed connecting to server

I have been using Tonido for over a year and haven't had any issues until today. I went to remotely access on my Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Tab 3 and initially got the "Failed connecting to server" error. I checked my Windows 7 laptop and the software is running and logged in. I shut it down, cleared data on my devices, and restarted it. Now I'm getting the "Failed contacting host" error when I try to log in. The https://username.tonidoid.com does not work when I try to access it via my browser either. What is the issue??

Hi!
I'm experiencing the same problem and since the beginning of February, like you. Server still working but suddenly no remote access. I'm hoping the Tonido team will take a look at the relay service since I cannot see how it can be anything else.

Please check the following

1. All the relays are up and running
2. Check if firewall is blocking their outgoing/incoming connection

Hi!

For me, this problem is continuing. I have however noticed something.

If I use the typical format http://servername@tonidoid.com I cannot set up an account using the android app.

If I disable relay, port forward my router on 10001, and use the format http://servername.tonidoid.com:10001 when setting up the android app account on any tablet, the account will set up. I can use the app as normal (although no SSL).

Does this provide a clue to Tonido as to where the problem may be with setting up the app in the usual way??

I am also getting this issue on my HTC One V Android. It started at the beginning of February. Tonido is running on my computer and I can log in on my computers browser. However I can NOT log in through my phone.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling on my phone, clearing my phone's cache, my computer's cache, uninstalling and reinstalling on my computer and changing my password.

Still the same results.

Hello stantoncloud doesn't point to any of our relay servers. Is relay enabled?

Also, did you ever install Tonido on one machine and then move it to another machine (or do account recovery etc)?

Hi!

I disabled relay in order to allow access using the current method described in my earlier post. I have now enabled relay in order to allow you to check "stantoncloud" again.

I have previously used recovery, but then deleted the affected account. This action would have been on one of my previous server names "serverbull" and "northcloud". These two server accounts have both been deleted and replaced by the current one "stantoncloud".

Please note that I have also posted information under the index heading "Tonido Mobile" because of a similar problem encountered by a user there.

As a bye-the-bye, I am not getting email alerts when you post replies.
