Waiting (im)patiently ;)

I'm happy to wait if you take your time to iron out the bugs first. In the end that will save me a lot of time

I have installed Tonido for Raspberry Pi.

If you are a little bit Linux savvy it's really no problem.

I have done a quick use test with the mobile application and it looks like it works like it should.

Compared to the Tonidoplug2 I am "missing":
- DLNA server (no problem, I have installed miniDLNA)
- Browser classic version

Hey Marios, Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

- The DLNA plugin might be added later.
- The classic browser interface has been removed from the build as it is no longer supported

Well i went through my install last night and all went well and have it running fine.

I have been using xbian for some time and the switch to raspbmc was easy.

I have been using tonido for years and the install went like a breeze.

I miss the classic interface, but that cause I am old ;-)

There is a lack of apps such as the bittorrent and shell options

Outside of this i am really happy as its looking great

Thanks guys

Great feedback. Thanks a lot bendy.

Sorry the classic interface went away, but we couldn't keep it supported and every release meant it was getting more out of date with the functions.

not really useful for me right now

sudo cd /usr/local etc. does not work under raspbmc, gives error, an normal cd works

no possible way to index files
/mnt/music/12 inches/10-or-More - Queued
but nothing is indexed

no play of mp3, wav etc. I do not see anything of transcode stuff in my shell

tried to change from user /pi to user /root but than the config needs to be recreated again

stopping sh ./tonido.sh stop results in an error
suddenly the 'loading' icon is there and keeps there until I stop the application, it is causing external apps like the tonido iphone app not to respond anymore.

Hi guys,

I see that websharepro and sync are now available for the raspberry pi. Jippeej! :-)
However, when I try to install sync, I get an error:

Code: Select all

Failed to install application, check permissions of Tonido install directory.

I have changed the ownership and group to pi; started tonido with sudo, but both wouldn't work.

Then, I thought about checking the logfile. My tonido log says the following:

Code: Select all

21:18:07:000 [5] [UserManager]:I: Installing new plugin sync from http://patch.codelathe.com/tonido/live/update/plugins/sync/armv6l-rpi/
21:18:07:279 [5] [UserManager]:E: LoadURL: Downloaded Manifest, Bad HTTP Get Status
21:18:07:280 [5] [UserManager]:E: Patcher: Unable to load remote manifest
21:18:07:282 [5] [UserManager]:E: Unable to Install

Could the download url be broken?

Cheers,
Rob

First of all, we have just pushed a brand new Raspberry Pi package.
1. Delete your existing tonido folder (rm -rf /usr/local/tonido)
2. Re-do the install process at http://www.tonido.com/support/display/docs/Raspberry+Pi

This adds support for music transcoding so flac, m4a, etc are now supported!

Sync and WebsharePro are also supported.
