Size of photos

Postby deepkent » Mon Jul 29, 2013 10:42 am

I have two questions:

1. When I log into my account, I see a prompt in the lower left saying "Upgrade to Pro". I already had Pro - what am I missing?

2. When I link to pictures, no matter how the originals were created, they are all reduced to the same size - often much smaller than the original. How can I make them available in the original size?

1. If you go to Settings->Summary, does it say License: Pro?

2. Usually when you create a link to a picture, it will link to actual file, and when opened, the browser will show the full picture. We don't resize it anyway.
Make sure your browser is not resizing the picture for display.

Thanks for your swift reply.

No, it doesn't say "License: Pro". It says "Upgrade to Pro" in two places. See Account.jpg attached. In Pro receipt.jpg you will see my receipt for payment for a Pro account. So do I have a Pro account or not?

On the subject of photos, I think I have worked out the problem. I choose "open" and then right-click and choose "Copy photo", instead of choosing "download" in the first place. But I still think the photos should, when opened, display at their original size. This does happen with single photos, but not with photos in a shared folder - they are always reduced in size when opened, sometimes considerably.

You will see the size of the linked photos in Photo size 01 - roughly 3MB; I can't attach a fourth screenshot, but if I could it would show that a photo displays at a size probably a tenth or less of 3MB. There is no option on the display page to view the photo at its original size. So is it your policy that, to see photos in a shared folder at their original size, the addressee has to download them?

Thanks again.

1. Yes, it doesnt look you have activated pro. To activate: do the following:
http://www.tonido.com/support/display/d ... +TonidoPro

2. Regarding photos, to view original, yes you have to download it. It is not possible to show the full resolution image in a monitor display so it has to be resized.

I clicked on that link, and got as far as 5. Enter the Store user account from (1) and set store account details.

I used the password you sent me (see Account 02).
I entered it and my email address (see Account 03).
It would not accept those details (Account 04)

What do I do now?

It needs the password you used to buy pro from our store:
Try to login via https://store.tonido.com with the account you used to buy. You need to use the same login information.

Finally! It works. I feel as if I've been through the Hampton Court maze, and I honestly don't know why it should be so difficult. But thanks for your patience.
