Store Tonido files on network share

Postby Raaert » Wed Mar 20, 2013 2:47 pm

Hi,

Is it possible to make Tonido (on the server) store the files on a network share?
- I know it is possible, but is Tonido capable of handling it?
What would happen if the Tonido server lost access to the network share?

Is this a fully supported solution for synchronizing files with Tonido?

By network share i mean an SMB (samba) share or over iSCSI.
Would Tonido react differently on those 2, if it lost connection to the share/drive?

File synchronization using a mounted drive is not a good idea at all. We do not recommend it. If there is a loss of network connectivity a lot of problems could ensue.
