How do I remove profiles

Postby FewClues » Tue Dec 15, 2009 4:49 pm

I have invited and allowed several people access to my Tonido Plug to get a feel for it. I don't want to use up the plugs memory with unused data. How do I delete a profile?

1) Go to the profiles selection screen. If you are already logged in to Tonido, log out by clicking "Switch Profile". Hence, when you go to the Tonido URL, you will see all the profiles listed.
2) Click on the profile you want to delete
3) Click options in the bottom
4) Click "Delete profile"

Is it too easy for an anonymous person to delete a profile? Or am I missing something as a Tonido noob?

An anonymous user wont be able to delete the profile because
[*] Remote profile administration on the plug is disabled by default. Even if you want to add/modify/delete profile from the plug you have to explicitly enable this.
[*] Even if the remote profile administration is enabled, anonymous user will need your password and security answer to delete the profile.

Mine is the only profile on the log-in screen. However, the groups are still shown with the members of the group also shown from the advanced view of the home page.

I can resign from a group, but the group will remain. How do I remove the groups?

If you go to Groups Tab in Admin, there should be a "quit" next to "Invite". Click on that.

This only removes ME from the group. Not the group from the board. I will not regain access nor block further use by the group.

When you say the group will remain in the board, what do you mean? The group is stored only in the individual Tonido accounts. It is not stored externally or elsewhere.

I have a group simply called Family. It has four members non of whom are using the system. When I attempt to quit I get the following

You cannot quit your own group that has members.

How do I remove this group.
