There are two steps required before the u can start using Tonidofox.

First step, setup TonidoFox plugin
1) In FF, goto Tools->Addons. Select "TonidoFox" from the list. Click on options.
2) Enter your IP address or <profilename>.tonidoid.com. Note: Don't include any http or https here. Just the host information.
3) For the port, enter "10001" if you have setup port forwarding or enter "80" if you have relay enabled.
4) Click OK to save

Next step is to login into your tonido once. The reason to do this is because tonidofox plugin doesn't accept your profile login ID and password. So you have to open a FF session and login to your profile once.
1) Close the all the FF popup windows.
2) Open the URL http://<hostinformation>/ui/core/index.html and login to your profle.
Note: your <hostinformation> should match the values you entered in the plugin configuration. Either IP address of <profilename>.tonidoid.com.

Now give a minute, the plugin will connect to your tonido server and icon will turn orange.

Sorry, your instructions don't work on my setup.
Other plugins can access the internet without problems.

Thank you for the instructions. I've been stuck for a couple of days now and they worked this time. I had to use Port 80 as I have relay setup on my software.

Btw, I am running Tonido software on a Sheevaplug. On my Mac, I am running OS 10.6.2 with Firefox v. 3.5.5

Just like suggested in your instructions, I had to setup the port. I restarted the browser to be on the safe side. Logged onto http://username.tonidoid.com and a min later my icon became yellow / orange, simple as that. Can't believe it worked. I had tried port 80 before but never logged into after that. And kept changing ports and URL to get it to work. No wonder it wasn't working. .LOL

Cheers,

Asim

any other suggestions to troubleshoot the issue? (i am unable to activate on PPC G5 w/10.5.8 or MBP w/10.6.2, FF 3.5.5)

thanks much
