Got all excited about installing Tonido on my Ubuntu machine until I got the dreaded message:
Error: Wrong architecture: 'i386'
I thought, hey no problem, I'll just run it via terminal with this command:
sudo dpkg -i --force-architecture TonidoSetup_i686.deb
It seemed to install, and I thought all would be well, but I was wrong.
Running Tonido from the Applications menu did nothing, so I ran it from Alt-F2, and received the message that the tonido folder didn't exist in my home directory.
Ok, so...I created the folder in my home directory. Still nothing.
So I checked and I do have a usr/local/tonido folder with lots of stuff in it, including tonidostart.sh. Running it does nothing.
So no love for 64bit?
No love for 64bit?

Re: No love for 64bit?
We currently don't have a Tonido package for 64 bit yet. We will get one out soon.
Meanwhile, you might want to try this.
open a terminal:
Then launch tonido using your shortcut.
Please let us know if it works or doesn't work.

Re: No love for 64bit?
Yeah, I already have ia32-libs installed, and it is the latest version. Tried to install it again, just to be sure, but it informed me that I already have the latest and therefore did not install or upgrade anything.
So, that doesn't help. Still can't run Tonido.
Look forward to trying the 64 bit version when you have it ready.

Re: No love for 64bit?
Hmm, we expect it to work. Which Ubuntu version are you running?
cat /etc/lsb-release
Can you send us the log from ~/tonido/data/logs/tonido.log?
Thanks

DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.10
DISTRIB_CODENAME=intrepid
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 8.10"
My tonido folder is empty. As I mentioned, after I successfully installed it via --force-architecture, the first error message I received upon running it was that the tonido folder didn't exist, so i manually created one. Obviously, since I manually created it, it was empty at that point, and remains so. Therefore I do not have a data/logs/tonido.log file.

Re: No love for 64bit?
ok sorry, I missed that.
I just realized something.
You are trying to launch the tonido version with GTK tray icon support.
That might require GTK IA32
Install and try to start tonido via the shortcut.
If that doesn't work, try running tonido in daemon mode.
go to your /usr/local/tonido folder

Re: No love for 64bit?
Already have ia32-libs-gtk installed - still no go.
Tried running in daemon mode. Here's the result:
~: /usr/local/tonido$ nohup: redirecting stderr to stdout
and it just sits there at that point.

Re: No love for 64bit?
oops, forgot to mention, after running in daemon mode.
Just open 127.0.0.1:10001 in your browser.
This is assuming Tonido daemon is running ok.
will show you if it is running.
