Torrent

Postby acousticnewton » Sat Aug 29, 2009 3:18 pm

I would like to be able to change priorities of torrents, select files to download or not, add different trackers.

And changing the number of active downloads before they queue up would be great too.

Also it would be cool to move the completed downloads to a different folder. I'm sure you have used utorrent before.

Is there a way to move the completed files to another directory when I'm not at home?

Also add seeders/peers and ETA (see the popular deluge torrent client) to the table the user sees.

We are aware of the HTTP/FTP download functionality. We are looking into it.

Here's a tutorial that might help your users:

It would be nice to have the TOTAL download and upload speed listed at the bottom. :)

Any chance of a pause/resume function as well?

"Start and Stop" provide this functionality. Select the torrent you want to pause and hit "stop" ..

"Also, some sort of automove, autounpack ability after a torrent is finished?"

Are you thinking of providing a unique path for a specific torrent to be moved once it is finished? or a global location to move once any torrent is finished?

More of a global location. A per torrent location would be nice, but it seems like overkill, although I can see how tagging torrents that way would be extremely useful for categorization. This goes to TV, this goes to Movies, this goes to Software.
Anything that gets into the "Completed" directory can then be autouncompressed and ready for use. Most streaming media players can't directly use rar files (XBMC being an exception) and uncompressing them as a low-priority background task seems like a feature I think most torrent users would heavily appreciate.
