Backup to Mapped Network Drive

Postby dpgueldn » Mon Sep 12, 2016 3:24 pm

Hi Team:

I have 2 portable HDs that previously mirrored each other via the Backup app off my Tonido machine, but recently moved one of them to a different physical location. It is now connected to a router as Network Storage and I have mapped a network drive to it. I am unable to figure out how to redirect the Backup app so this continues to backup. Is this configuration not allowed??

Thanks,
Dan

This sounds like a question for your backup app, not Tonido. I know of a few backup apps, and they typically only want to work with local drives, not network mapped drives. There may be ways around this but I suggest checking in with your backup app.

The Backup App was within Tonido, that app is no longer available and I'm trying to figure out why. The description for the app is found at http://www.tonido.com/app_backup_home.html but it's no longer download-able. Why?
