Re: Tonido Plug IP Address Keeps Changing

Can you use your LAN hub to assign an address?

I get varied IP addresseswhen I unplug and reconnect a devoice, Tonido inluded. But I suspect I could assign a fixed address using my LAN hub.

Sync data recovery

My setup seems to have lost its memory stick data, and I'm wondering if the Sync Data server/client folders contain any info that will help me with any aspect of recovery. Over the last few hours, access to the drive has slowed, then stopped. Thinking it was a network problem I rebooted the Plug, an...

Re: User Manual / Hardware guide?

TonidoSATACoverLatch.jpg Success. I got it open by squeezing at a point near the rear of the cover. (Where 'front' is where the gap appears, and 'rearward' is the direction the cover moves in when removing it.) What isn't explained anywhere is that the cover has an internal detent on both sides, in...

Re: User Manual / Hardware guide?

Aha. Nice to see that!

I must have a defective unit.
It shifts slightly, but isn't going to budge any further unless I take a lever to it.
I'm not going to chance breaking it.

Will have to call the dealer on Monday to see about a replacement.

User Manual / Hardware guide?

I bought a TP2 today, and am looking at the quick start guide, and noticing that there is no description of the unit. The case is supposed to slide open for HDD installation, but it doesn't budge. The quick start guide mentions a sliding switch to push down, but doesn't show where it is. There is a ...

Re: TonidoPlug + NAS

Ahh, very good! Thanks for the info. I took it to mean the TonidoLite Desktop software, installed it and can see my NAS just fine. Have succesfully shared folders from both NAS and local drive. All looking good. Have noticed that the web interface (or something to do with the browser) runs very slow...

TonidoPlug + NAS

I'm considering a purchase of a Tonido Plug, but am unable to get answers to a pretty basic query. I want to use my NAS as an alternative to 3rd party cloud storage. I want something simple - just access to folders and files. No need for photo galleries, IM/Chat tools, project management, etc. I wou...

Re: Tonidoplug2 + ReadyNAS Duo V2

Are those Linux details written up anywhere?

I am considering a TP2 purchase, and connecting a NAS is an important aspect.
