Re: Software disappeared

It looks like there's still a gap.

Can you explain what is/isn't happening with support for Tonido devices?
It's still a mystery as to whether these forums are the best point of contact.

Re: TonidoPlug2 console access?

As adafruit are out of stock, here's a link to another supplier http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/Cables/USBTTLSerial.htm and one for those of us in europe http://uk.mouser.com/ProductDetail/FTDI/TTL-232R-3V3/?qs=Xb8IjHhkxj627GFcejHp0Q%3D%3D What kind of DHCP issues are you having? Re: Not showing up on network

I'm beginning to count the days again.
It may be time to make some enquiries via other sub-fora or the company blog.

Re: not showing up as computer

Not very helpful then.
I'd hope Tonido would look into that directly. If Microsoft is essentially admitting they broke something, I'd expect Tonido to look for a fix.

Re: not showing up as computer

I'm not knowlegeable on this, but thought I'd ask anyway, while I wait for an answer to my own thread. Have you tried other operating systems, e.g. Linux? I am supposing you can add/share files okay. What happens when you try to view TP2 remotely? I don't know what passes for network config in 8.1, ...

Re: Not showing up on network

I'm searching around rthe board for possible answers, and thought this would be relevant: To fix the issue, reboot the plug without any USB attached. Once the plug is booted up, check the directory /media/usb0 and /media/disk1part1. These directories should not have any data in it. Remove the files ...

Re: Not showing up on network

First hurdle: not seeing device on network, so cannot use PuTTY. The Plug is connected via ethernet, but my router doesn't see it, even though I've allocated a specific IP address to it. I've since removed that static allocation, and restarted the hub, with no change. Plug LEDs are all steady blue. ...

Re: Not showing up on network

Haven't had a chance to sit down with the plug and do the procedure. But I have bought a SATA drive to replace the memory stick - so no more of those sort of problems in future!

Re: Sync data recovery

Sorry, I don't know. It's an off-the-shelf Kingston Data Traveler. I presumed it's FAT32.
But will hang on to it til I get a chance to stick in into a LInux machine.
