Re: How to backup TonidoPlug (before disk replacement)

I sympathise. But the issue with any storage media is how to create redundancy. Each of us should be backing up data frequently, to some sort of long term storage media. In my case, the Tonido is mainly a cloud backup for the drives on various desk/laptops. In your situation, I'd be backing up Tonid...

Re: SSH access only to Plug - no web access

no ideas from me... sounds like a potentially useful bit of obsolete tech to play with.

Re: Tonido Plug Won't Detect External Disks

if you aren't losing any data by sending off the old plug, just ask whoever you bought it from for a replacement. Much faster than waiting on here! You might look into the USB-to-serial option, and see if you can SSI intothe Plug. I'm mystified as to what the absence of any drives means. You have ac...

SATA Mounting protocol

I've put a 500G SATA disc in my Plug, and upon configuring the unit, find that I have two mounts: disk1part1 and disk2part2. These both seem to be the SATA, rather than the SATA and the internal Flash, but how can I confirm the physical location of these drives & partitions? Moreover, why are th...

Re: Not showing up on network

Having posted my truculent TonidoPlug off to the retailer on Tuesday, I was well pleased to see a brand new one delivered to me on Friday! So, in far less time than it has taken to get a question answered on here, the retailer has simply swapped to bum unit for a new one. Many thanks for that sort o...

Re: Not showing up on network

Looks like my Plug is going back to the factory.

No reponse on here for over a week, and hardware less than 6 months old.
Sending a plug back to the retailer is probably the best option for anyone else having troubles.

Re: Tonido Plug Won't Detect External Disks

I'm not going to be of much help - but possibly more than you'd be getting for the time being. The first thing I'm wondering is what you CAN see, e.g, can you get to the GUI dashboard? Does the plug show up on your network? Has it got any internal drives showing up? One of the standard solutions see...

Re: Sync data recovery

Thanks for the tips, but they are curiously general, and so it's not clear how they apply to my particular device. The info you've given is about the same as any number of adverts I've seen.

I'd be glad to hear something more specific!

Warranty conditions

I'm thinking that I may try to return my TP2 to New IT, or make a claim directly with Tonido, given this statement: "You won't trash warranty if you boot from USB or SATA. Your warranty is good as long as you dont make any modifications to the internal flash." Does filling up the internal ...
