Re: Issues with indexing

O.K...thanks Madhan. This being the case, it sounds like a simple re-index when it fails might pick them back up again. I'll play with some ideas to see if I can get a reasonable work-round, Let me know if you ever come up with a fix. On the subject of indexing, it would be nice (and would alleviate...

Re: Issues with indexing

Yes they are; the drives are hard-mapped on system start-up from my other server, where they are physically connected via USB (they are not NAS drives), both machines are wired into a gigabit LAN. Do you think it may be a problem with Windows network I/O ?

Issues with indexing

Has anyone noticed that the new indexing capability seems to miss several of the files after re-indexing an existing index? It seemed that there was a recent fix for this and I'm currently running server version 4.68.0.23921 on 32-bit Windows XP, which I believe is the latest version, but I'm still ...

Re: Any way to modify indexing behavior?

I like the idea of playlists for videos as an intermediate solution, this would allow me to manually organize the videos myself, also, if the playlist was kept in some documented XML format (similar to iTunes DB), I could knock up some Perl script or Java code which automatically generated some basi...

Re: Any way to modify indexing behavior?

I have both android and iOS clients (2 iPhones, an iPad, 2 Motorla Andriods, and 2 Android tablets); only the iOS clients are updated to take advantage of indexing right now. I have to say I love this feature. For photos, it is really nice to have the data organized by month, for me at least, this s...

Any way to modify indexing behavior?

The indexing feature in the latest build is really nice, and I'm making extensive use of it, but I have noticed 2 things: 1) There appears to be no way to modify when the indexing gets done. For me it runs at around 10:30 AM and 10:30 PM; which seems to coincide with the time I first enabled it. 2) ...

Re: Copy/Paste does not show up in real filesystem

O.K...thanks...it could be the priority; this is not a particularly fast machine, it's an old Dell latitude laptop sat on a docking station with a USB Hub that I'm using as a file-server, it also runs uTorrent, a VPN tunnel, a DLNA server, and an FTP server, as well as taking care of all the network...

Re: Copy/Paste does not show up in real filesystem

The platform is Windows Vista 32-bit. Since Windows does file locking differently to UNIX, I suspect it may be some kind of lock. The file did show up eventually, but it took about an hour. I did some playing, and it seems that large files take much longer to show up. With a 300 Meg file, here's wha...

Copy/Paste does not show up in real filesystem

The ability to copy/paste files from the Tonido server is really handy, but I have noticed that the files don't really show up on the actual file system of the server. If I choose "Cut" or "Copy" on a file, and then paste it into a different location through Tonido (another drive...

Re: iTunes automatic playlist not working

I downloaded Tonido server 4, and there is now a setting to reset the location of the iTunes library; so this problem is fixed permanently. Nice job guys.
