Re: Tonidoplug2, SSD becomes unmounted/undetected

Hi,
The problem you are describing seems to be a power save mode problem.
You can check for your SSD model. There might be some tools available (may be in windows), to disable this power save mode.
Since this is a hdd dependent feature, we are not able to set that as a default in plug OS.

Re: TonidoPlug2 automatically creates /media folders problem

Hi, Yes, you can edit the disk db. It will have something like this. DISK|1|||1500.3 GB DISK|2|||320.1 GB and you can edit the second column to change the folder names. The # in the second column will be used as disk number in the path. for instance /media/devXpartY. Here X is the number from that f...

Re: Read only USB drive? Unhandled sense code

Hello Paul, You can try doing a file system check. In most of the cases it should fix the FS error. If it didnt, there is a possibility that the HDD is going bad. To check the file system (assuming its an ext3 FS), ssh into the plug and run these commands. # umount /dev/sdb # fsck.ext3 /dev/sdb

Re: TonidoPlug2 automatically creates /media folders problem

Hello, The drives are remembered using some unique id from the disk's filesystem. Everytime you format the disk (even though it is the same disk), it creates a new id. Thats why your disk number kept growing. Workaround for you to get it the way you like is to 1) Remove all the usb drives 2) SSH int...

Re: Tonido plug no longer works.

@wisperbird: Run this command from ssh command line and then reboot the plug. Then your disk should be recognized as /media/disk1part1/

Code: Select all

 # /root/app/tonido/plugscripts/diskRegistry.sh clear

Re: Hard hang of tonidoconsole, web admin, ps

Hi Stuart, It could be possible that the SATA disk that you are using goes into a power save mode. If this is the case, OS will not control it automatically. You need to force stop the power save mode. Google for more info on the hdparm command. I remember doing something like "hdparm -Z /dev/s...

Re: Tonido plug no longer works.

I'm very sorry you don't believe me. I agree updating should not have rendered the plug useless. But it did. Direct after updating the app's couldn't restart. I believe you. All I am saying is we had code updates only to a process called tonido. There is no change made to the OS. So what you are sa...
