Re: Tonido's behaviour after update

That's interesting that you all had that experience. The topic of this thread is "behaviour after update" in a general sense, so I'll give my thoughts... - On a sheevaplug w/ debian squeeze, after updating my tonido installation, it does not seem to automatically restart. This was a bit an...

Re: iTunes file support in Jukebox

I agree 100%. I use iTunes as my primary music manager. However, I have my Sheevaplug rsync all of my music, and I use squeezebox server at home to play music throughout the house. Squeezebox has a plugin that you can just point it to your iTunes directory and it reads your playlists, etc. It would ...

Users should be able to recover old TonidoIDs

I had an old plug, and my name was XXXX_YYYYY. I got excited, played with it, decided i wanted a new config, reflashed it, etc. I actually did this twice. Despite the fact that I remembered my old user / pass combo, it was not possible to recover this from the server. I understand that i won't be ab...

Re: If I had to re-flash my plug, how do I get my old login back

No, you won't be able to force that. User ID & Password is not the only information that is used by Tonido for relaying information to your device running Tonido. Hmm is there a place to request features? I think it's pretty bad data management tactics to have a db full of abandoned usernames t...

Re: If I had to re-flash my plug, how do I get my old login back

This is not any other normal web service. Note that, all your information are stored on your local Tonido instance. The only value we store to maintain uniqueness is your Account ID. With so much concurrency, it is not optimal for us to make changes such as removing IDs. Yep I understand. However, ...

Wow that's retarded that they don't have a way to retrieve existing account info like usernames / passwords. EVERY place with a login does.

Re: If I had to re-flash my plug, how do I get my old login back

If I contact support, can I have them delete my username out of their db so I can re-sign up with it? I can't imagine they want stray usernames taking up space in their db...

Re: If I had to re-flash my plug, how do I get my old login back

No - the plug was hosed, but I could really care less about any data on that plug. I just want my old username back, but it's stored on the tonidoid service. Can I contact Tonido to have them remove that login from their db so I can re-create it? There must certainly be a way to recover logins... ev...

If I had to re-flash my plug, how do I get my old login back

Apologies if this is covered some place else. I'm using the Sheevaplug right now. I created a Tonido installation on it a while back, and I decided I wasn't very happy with the install. I blew everything away and started from scratch. I'd like my old Tonido ID back, but there's no option on a fresh ...

Possible to change where apps are stored?
