smart sync of large file

Does Tonido Sync handle large files more efficiently by transferring only the part of the file that has changed? For example, if there's a 50MB log file on both computers, and one computer appends some text to the file, will Sync only transfer the end of the file to the other computer? How about a 5...

Re: sync two tonido nodes

If we are syncing between two "personal devices" whether across the local network or the internet, why is there a limit at all on either file size or the total sync capacity. As I understand it, Sync is to be a revenue generator for CodeLathe. The free version gets you to try it. Pay for ...

deleting a subfolder is not sync'ed

There's an issue when deleting a subfolder. ⋅ I created a subfolder on the client and pasted a file into that subfolder; the subfolder and file were synced to the server. ⋅ I deleted the subfolder on the server; the file in the subfolder was deleted from the client; but the subfo...

remote answer unsecure

My Remote Answer is clearly visible when I open the Settings window of the Windows client. Although the Remote Answer is not near as important as the password, I feel even that value should be hashed so someone with access to the computer cannot get the value. Will you add that feature? Also, would ...

dup lines in Recent Activity window

Whenever I open the Recent Activity window in the Windows client, the rows get duplicated. See attached screenshot which occurred after opening and closing the window a few times. Restarting the Sync client causes the list to return to normal; but opening and closing the window causes the duplicate ...

Re: USB 3.0...how soon in the future?

... because USB 2 is good enough for the low power TonidoPlug, and because USB 3 is still rare in the general population, and because CodeLathe is primarily a software company. Just my two cents worth. I hope plug computing (or something similar) will continue grow, and an upgrade to all the compone...

Re: Booting TonidoPlug using USB Drive

I read about no definitive solution and have no first hand experience. But this thread (or maybe others) talks about plugging the devices into different ports of the USB hub, or using a different USB hub. One port on the hub may have higher priority than the others, or be accessed before the others....
