Re: Tonido.sh Script Functionality Broken

Yeah, that's what I was figuring too. The weird part is, even with the .pid missing, the Tonido service still runs fine. Then when I run tonido.sh start (with the service already running), it changes to output of the tonido.sh stop script to what I wrote above. Maybe running the start script on boot...

Tonido.sh Script Functionality Broken

Hi all, I'm currently running Tonido on my headless Ubuntu server (16.04.5 LTS) to manage my network shares. I set it up with the Tonido.sh start script in my rc.local file using Steel's suggestion in this topic to run on start every time I boot the server, which works fine. However, I'm running int...

Re: Way to view current Tonido network activity?

Hi rainio, If you go to Settings > Log, you'll see a section called "recent activity." It will tell you who has logged into your server, although by default it won't tell you what they are downloading / uploading. You'll need to set your log level to "trace" to get that informati...

Re: Strange tonido network behaviour

Hi rainio, The answer is simple enough: there seems to be more than one server! The devs would need to confirm this, but I've troubleshooted a lot of machines running Tonido for clients, and it seems as though the service tries to identify the relay physically closest to you and use that one. If thi...

Re: Upgrading

Hi deepkent,

Tonido Pro is now the default license type for everybody, meaning you already have it! To get the extra features that are in the Pro package, simply go here and follow those instructions (minus steps 2-4; those don't apply anymore since Pro and Biz are free).

Re: Can not get custom domain to work

Thanks for the screenshots, onevio. Looks like your router configuration is fine, so the problem probably resides in the way your domain is configured to route traffic to your router. You'll probably need to contact the customer support of whatever service you used to buy your domain, as that is out...

Re: Can not get custom domain to work

Open port check tool is useful for checking ports you want to open--in your case, port 80. So you'd enter your IP address in the IP address section and 80 in the port section.

The firewall configuration I was talking about was your Linksys EA6900 config (screenshots).

Re: Can not get custom domain to work

In that case, your ISP might be preventing you from forwarding ports. This is especially the case for common ports such as port 80. Just to be safe, use an open port checker tool such as http://www.canyouseeme.org/ to check your router for open ports. If it can see that your ports are open, then the...

Re: Can not get custom domain to work

There's an easy way to check if your ISP equipment is performing any routing functions. Open command prompt and type "ipconfig". Note the address of your default gateway. Now open your browser and enter that IP address. If it opens your EA6900 login screen, then that is the only router you...

Re: Can not get custom domain to work

Yes, the public port might also be called the external port in your router's firmware. Same with private / internal. And yes, whatsmyip.org (or a quick Google search of "What is my IP address?") will reveal your public IP address. I understand your frustration with the conflicting informat...
