Re: Read only USB drive? Unhandled sense code

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D I unmounted the USB drive and plugged it into a Windows 8 machine. I had to use the command line CHKDSK twice to resolve all issues. There were corrupt sectors and some files were lost, but now the drive mounts and is writable on the tonido plug. Thank you for your wise counc...

Re: Read only USB drive? Unhandled sense code

Hello Paul, You can try doing a file system check. In most of the cases it should fix the FS error. If it didnt, there is a possibility that the HDD is going bad. To check the file system (assuming its an ext3 FS), ssh into the plug and run these commands. # umount /dev/sdb # fsck.ext3 /dev/sdb It ...

Read only USB drive? Unhandled sense code

It looks like I can read from the drive, but can not create a file or directory. :( This is a 2TB external USB drive. I could have sworn it worked connected to the 'plug' before. Accessing it from a windows machine, I get an I/O error... Error 0x8007045D: The request could not be performed because o...

Can't create folder/file in root of mount point - 0x8007045D

I took a 2TB drive off my Windows box and plugged it into the USB port. The drive became available! Yea, Team! When I try to create a directory/folder (or any file) at the root, I get the error code in the subject. When I putty to the mount point and try to mkdir, I get a 'cannot create directory......

Re: Reseting a tonidoplug for dummies

Oops, replied to other post before you asked for the order number specifically in this message... "Your Tonido order has shipped (7792)‏" .... 1 x TonidoPlug2 Plug Computer (UGNAS-P30855-TP) Somebody at your logistics center was playing. There was definitely a profile for 'mjen' that I had...

Re: Received refurbished plug with mjen user setup - reset?

I am not sure how much detail you need?

I unboxed the unit. Plugged it in. Accessed it with the browser. It said that I needed the password for a user called 'mjen' as explained in the first post.

Sorry for delay in responding. Got busy with life.

Re: Received refurbished plug with mjen user setup - reset?

(These posts must be manually monitored before posted, because I would have come back yesterday and given this update... but it would not show.) I located the 'reset root password' thread/script and was able to putty into the system. I located the 'deleting profile' thread that told me how to ...

Re: Reseting a tonidoplug for dummies

My post is not up on the board. Still waiting to see if they are filtering unhappy comments. I received a "NEW" plug and found out it had been used. "mjen" was the account. I used the password reset USB to get into root and then used the information on the following post to delet...

Received refurbished plug with mjen user setup - reset?

I am a little angry  right now. I have used the board to reset the root password, but I still get the dang 'mjen' user on the web interface. My linux is rusty and I want to know how to reset this d%$# thing to factory. I do not want to do the new flash routine until I get someone who knows wha...
