Good stuff. Would also be useful to have the process for recovering an previous account. The procedure as outlined in the online manual doesn't suffice. Looks like I'm having the same problem. No indicator lights on the side, no whirring of disc. Am now looking for info about troubleshooting the device.

Still getting this date shift occasionally - and am giving myself a reminder about the format puTTY/Tonido requires to make it change. Log in as root Use the plug password Tonido likes this format: date -s "27 March 2017 01:10:00" but doesn't like timedatectl set-time '2015-11-23 08:10:40'

Still not working. I can read and write data to the drive, but I cannot login via the URL. Am currently trying to remember whow to find the admin panel by other means I have no SSH access. puTTY doesn't connect. It doesn't even give me the login prompt. I've rebooted, no change there. That works.

So, the difference between using the PuTTY/SSH method and the GUI TonidoPlug Admin Login method is that the former works, and the latter only mimics some aspect of working.
