Re: Android BETA: Automatic backup of Photos and Videos supp

@Djchew: If it's not one of the hangs in my other thread, I'm afraid I haven't seen it before, but it looks like a bug of some kind to me. I turned off camera uploads several moths ago after I ran into a bunch of issues, so it could be something caused by a recent update. If you want to pursue it, y...

Re: Android BETA: Automatic backup of Photos and Videos supp

@Djchew: It could be a bug due to network switching. Do you get any kind of network dropout either because of bad 4G signal, switching between WiFi access points, or switching from WiFi to 4G, or vice versa? Take a look at my point 3) in this post. http://www.tonido.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&...

Re: Android BETA: Automatic backup of Photos and Videos supp

For me, the absolute biggest required feature is automatic upload of pictures even if Tonido has never been started after a reboot, or has been dismissed. This is completely possible on Android using a helper thread that runs on system startup. This is the main reason that I am still not using this ...

Multiple sync server folders

Does anyone know if it is possible to specify multiple sync folders in syncserverconfig.xml? If not, is this on the roadmap somewhere? I have more than one server folder that I would like to sync. Other improvement suggestions: - Ability to set up sync folders through web server interface, rather th...

What's new in 7.83

My Tonido server just updated me from 5.80 to 7.83...that's a big jump in releases, but I can't find any release notes to tell me what changed, the last update was for 5.80 back in July (see here): http://www.tonido.com/tonido-release-notes/ So what's new? can someone update the release notes with t...

Re: some minor issues with photo upload on Android

O.K...thanks Rydgaze. I didn't expect an immediate update, after all I'm not a corporate customer paying mega-bucks for the app, and I know it takes a while to diagnose and fix these things, especially with a small dev team. Let me know if you need any more info on the issues.

some minor issues with photo upload on Android

First, thanks for the quick update on photo uploads to allow a custom directory. Now that I can actually upload all my photos, I noticed a few issues: 1) It's nice to be able to set a folder to upload, but a number of Android models have some kind of "burst" mode, which will always write t...

Re: New Android camera Upload feature doesn't see SD Card Pi

O.K...thanks Rydgaze....You will most likely need to ask for more privs on app install/update, but I'm happy with that to get the ability to know that uploads just always happen (BTW: this is how the DropBox version works; DropBox does not need to be started for the upload to happen, , so if you are...

Re: New Android camera Upload feature doesn't see SD Card Pi

One other quick question on photo uploads which has come up a few times. When does will the photo upload work? a) Only when Tonido is foregrounded? b) Only when Tondio has been started after a phone re-boot, and has not been dismissed from active cache? c) When Tondio has been started after a phone ...

Re: New Android camera Upload feature doesn't see SD Card Pi

Thanks Madhan, Yes, that makes sense since there appear to be multiple variants of SD card picture location.

You might want to default to the Samsung location since it accounts for the majority of the Android market share
