Re: UnionFS

Where can I find the kernel source and cross compiler for the software stack running on the TonidoPlug2? I'd like to compile unionFS as a kernel module so I can help eliminate flash writes (make the flash rootfs mount read-only, and use the hard drive as an overlay filesystem for day-to-day use. RT...

Re: TonidoPlug2 offers "GHz performance"?

It seems my hunt is still on, and the 2.0GHz marvell chip is still vapor ware. I was under the impression this new form factor was the 2.0GHz CPU, not something even slower than the original tonido (1.2GHz). I guess I need to keep my eyes open for the "coffin" still.

Re: TonidoPlug2 console access?

Also, the FTDI cable is popular because it goes straight from USB to TTL. That means that instead of two adapters (one taking you from USB to RS232, and another taking RS232 to TTL), you only need one to get proper access on your tonidoplug. Adafruit sells one I have used successfully in linux many ...

Re: TonidoPlug2 console access?

Would this adapter work (after connecting the proper pins of course) http://www.frys.com/product/5229677?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG If so, I might be able to unbrick :) No, the adapter you linked is a USB to Serial adapter. What you need is a TTL to RS232 adapter. If the computer you're using to a...

Re: TonidoPlug2 console access?

Thanks for the fast reply. I have TTL to RS232 adapters. What is the pin-out, and baud rate? That is cool...I guess there is no need to sell this dongle :D There are many places to buy them. I have them laying around the office (embedded systems linux device driver engineer), but they're readily av...

To answer that last question, the answer is ues. CTRL+C at boot interrupts the automatic boot and the Marvell uBoot can be accessed.

Re: TonidoPlug2 console access?

Got it working. Pin-out is as follows:

"Top" of TonidoPlug2
VCC
RX
TX
GND
NC (This is the unpopulated pin)
"Bottom" of TonidoPlug2

"top" is where the power connection is, "bottom" is where the USB and Ethernet ports are.

Well, I was able to SSH in and see that the baud rate is 115200 on ttyS0, but I still am not getting anything. I think the pin-out is all I should need to get this working.
