Re: Does anyone have a TonidoPlug that doesn't need rebootin

For whatever reason mine seems to be working okay (touch wood). Maybe doing the hdparm setting made a difference even though I didn't make any changes ... who knows.

Re: Does anyone have a TonidoPlug that doesn't need rebootin

Thanks. How do I do turn spindown off in Linux? It's a Samsung M8 green drive. hdparm gives this result: root@TonidoPlug2:~# hdparm -a /dev/sda1 /dev/sda1: readahead = 256 (on) Which doesn't seem to imply that there is a spindown set. Should I be editing /etc/apm/event.d/20hdparm? My other computers...

Re: Does anyone have a TonidoPlug that doesn't need rebootin

No help, no ideas, no logs I can post that could help resolve this issue that makes my plug worthless?

Re: Does anyone have a TonidoPlug that doesn't need rebootin

No external power (didn't know that was possible, how would I even connect it?). The HDD is one of those recommended Green ones, only at 5,400 rpm. I think it's a Western Digital Caviar Green.

Does anyone have a TonidoPlug that doesn't need rebooting?

My TonidoPlug needs rebooting every few days. It has standard software loadout, boots off a green SATA HDD, and also has Tonido Shell and PMWiki installed. Even before they were installed, it needed regular reboots and randomly unmounted the hard disk. I've tried the hard disk elsewhere and it seems...

Re: Can't copy large files to TP2

I had the offer from someone to remote log in to my plug, but I'm in the UK so the time zones don't work. The fact the plug is unstable, can't take large files, and can't be used for productivity as advertised is all a pain. I would certainly not be able to recommend it to anyone else, which is a sh...
