Re: My Plug is not dead, just a boot loop, corrupt nand - RM

Thanks but I have that already, how do you think I got all the info in the 1st post Sorry. Wasn't paying attention. According to the U-Boot documentation, it is possible to re-format and write to sections NAND in much the same way as the vis the SSH method. I have tried it once or twice, several ye...

You would need a serial cable to directly access the uBoot environment.

Re: Installing Open eRP on a Tonidoplug

You would need to compile it from the source, and I'm not sure the Tonido Plug has enough processor or RAM to run it. But give it a try.

What if you change the MAC parameter in uBoot?

Re: My Plug is not dead, just a boot loop, corrupt nand - RM

After "Bad Magic Number" does it continue with: "Saving Environment to NAND... Erasing Nand...Writing to Nand... done" If so, have you tried this: http://www.tonido.com/communitywiki/doku.php?id=advanceduses:resetrootfsplug2#fixing_a_corrupt_nand_partition If that doesn't work, I...

Re: Is my plug dead???

If your lights are blue, your plug should be ok. You might have an IP address conflict - two devices on the network assigned to the same ip address. OR the TP2's might be on a different subnet. Both of these are best addressed using the DHCP reset. Not all USB drives work. Try the DHCP reset (again)...

Re: tonido plug 2 with hd : boot with blue and after red led

It looks like the "undo" image only applies to the plug 1. There might have been a reset script or image for the TP2, but I can't find it. In any case, you can ask for help over at the ArchLinux forums or you can change two environment variables via the serial console and reinstall the bas...

The disks may not have unmounted cleanly Try: - click on the "ClearDIskDB" from the GUI. http://www.tonido.com/support/display/docs/Configuration+-+Manage+USB+Drives - run fsck from the bash prompt, either int he GUI or from SSH fsck -y /dev/xxxx where "xxx" is your device name. ...

Re: Internal HDD overheating

7200 RPM drives run hotter than 5400/5900 drives. If you use a slower drive, you should not get any heat warnings. I never have after days of continuous use as a bit torrent and media file server. I've used 5k WD at 250, 500 and 750 with no problems. The 7k WD blacks run too hot. All the SSD's I've ...

Re: tonido plug 2 with hd : boot with blue and after red led

First, check their forums to see if there is an "undo" image that you can load onto a USB drive. I seem to recall them having one.

If not, you can serial a cable in, change the arcNumber, then proceed with reset.
