Re: Port to Netgear's ReadyNas

If it's x86-based, and you can SSH in, just find out what version of libc is on it...ls /usr/lib/libc-*

If it's 2.7 or higher, download the Arch Linux package to any computer, extract it, and the move the files to the ReadyNAS.

Re: TonidoPlug and Synology DS210j

Take the easy way out and add the mount command to rc.local. Besides that, I don't know why fstab is cleared out every boot...

Re: Can't mount tonido drive in mac osx 10.6.3

Are you mounting using the IP address or using the tonidoid.com URL? I've found that IP address mounting doesn't work on 10.6.3 and 10.6.4, but when using the tonidoid URL, it does - weird.

Get an iPod Touch by Making an App!

That's right, make a useful application for Tonido and you'll get an iPod Touch. I don't know the exact details, but that's what the Tonido support site for developers says. Maybe negotiate a gift card for something else? But anyway, make a Tonido app. Maybe something that syncs with another service...

Re: Will Tonido work in a fraternity house??

Don't get any liquids on it and it'll be fine ;) Just make an account for the group, not individual accounts, and share the password. But knowing university netowrking a little bit, good luck with IP addresses. You might have to turn on Relay and just give out your TonidoID URL, not an IP address. B...

Re: Google services integration

Thinking beyond integration, why not just develop an app for this? e.g. a Google Reader app for Tonido or a Google Calendar app? I should take a look...

...first 3 applications built for Tonido get a free iPod touch, remember? :D

Re: Tonido on ClearOS

Tonido needs a newer version of glibc than CentOS 5 provides - I believe Tonido needs glibc 2.8, but CentOS 5 comes with 2.5.

The easy way to check is by looking in /usr/lib/ - libc has to be 2.8 or higher.
