Re: Booting TonidoPlug using USB Drive

rusty, You are right. I have 2 plugs and time to time they lose their connection to the USB drive with my perfectly working LAMP stack (and Medical app). Usually it's when I am not using the plug (i am the only one having access). To restart I can only power off/on. I have tried every other boot... ...

emediaPractice

We have ported a (US) EMR Open Source (LAMP) app on the TonidoPlug and are starting to set up our distribution channels. Our choice for Tonido was dictated by the then availability of w/lamp. My understanding is this apps is no longer distributed (not sure what that means for us anyway) Tonido seems...

Re: Loose USB Connector

I have 2 USB... using the w/lamp stack... the primary one could keep the connection for 36 days but I had to create a cron job to write on the drive (a Western Digital) every minute (I mean, really write... not having some cached data going to some cached buffer). Lately that drive started failing (...

Re: hardware clock failure

hardware clock failure

I have 2 tonido, both running the T/LAMP stack fine except plug#1 shows a "hwclock failed" when in webmin I go the "system Time" page. I can set the time correctly but I found I cannot set the time zone. I tried: hwclock --debug hwclock from util-linux-ng 2.14.2 Using /dev interf...

Re: Booting TonidoPlug using USB Drive

I can only add to this thread that most USB drive won't boot w the w/lamp stack... I have posted my experience om a different thread. It's nothing to do with permissions (I had that solved long time ago on the one and only one drive working) but with spin-up latency.

Re: Hard Drive Recommendations Needed

I am glad I found this page. I am using a tonido w/ the w/lamp stack. I started with a brand new IOMEGA eGo 320gig usb 3 (compatible 2)... didn't boot. I thought the drive or usb 3 were bad. Took an antic iomega 80gig originally used as a fat32 backup... works like a charm... except from time to tim...
