The procedure itself is really simple. First off, install the openvpn itself: sudo apt-get install openvpn bridge-utils I use StrongVPN so the next step (certificates, configs, etc) is done for me, if you use something else, you will have to use your own files (here is the howto https://help.ubuntu....

thanks for the tip. It is a great drive. And everything worked great up until I lost the power. After the reboot I can not get everything back up. I have 2 drives that are connected thru usb hub. I either get to boot up from the drive i want but without being able to connect the other one or I see b...

I just got a Western Digital My Book Elite 2 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive and am facing the same problem - created an ext3 partition and the plug would not boot off of it. Web UI dies, but SSH is still up

When I completely reboot the plug, the web UI comes up normal. But after a few minutes, I stop being able to access web portion. SSH connection is good at all times. The only 2 applications that are running are torrent and explorer. Any ideas?
