Tonido on OpenSUSE

  • Step 1: Download the Tonido RPM.
  • Step 2: Open a Terminal and type (pointing to where you downloaded the RPM to):
sudo rpm -i ~/Download/tonido-0.7.0.11017-1.i386.rpm
  • Step 3: In the same Terminal, type
sudo /etc/init.d/tonidod start
  • Step 4: Go to "http://localhost:10001" in your browser. Tonido should be running.
  • Step 5: (Optional) To start Tonido on boot, open a Root Terminal and run
sudo /sbin/chkconfig tonidod on
  • Step 6: (Optional) Open port 10001 in Firewall (Security and Users > Firewall > Allowed Services > Advanced).
  • Step 7: (Optional) Forward port 10001 to the machine where Tonido is installed.
