What could we do with it that we can't do now?

Ah, finally. I was under the impression that Tonido could easily be installed by extracting a Linux package, easiest of which is the Arch Linux one, into a directory, installing Linux library and binary support, and running it. Has anyone done this?

But this is a thread into making a native port, e.g. recompiling on FreeBSD using FreeBSD-compatible GCC and all. Is it worth it? Or does the above suggestion work well-enough, if it does at all.

I vote for FreeBSD! Tonido is free, so I do not see any problems in porting it to FreeBSD. That way more people will use Tonido, and that is the most important thing for Tonido. More users = more opportunity to sell apps = more & better apps. Win-win situation.
