Noob here!

I would like to upload files, especially marked up pdf files from Goodreader on my iPad to my Tonidoplug. Other postings hint at the same problem but the exact steps are never given, including the precise string of characters to use to reference the Tonidoplug from the web.

I have gotten access to the root directory, but can't access my share on the drive using the WebDav option in Goodreader. I tried http://xxxxxxx.tonidoid.com/disk2part1 and http://xxxxxxx.tonidoid.com/media/disk2part1 but neither work.

In addition, I would like to be able to upload files from iPad (outside of Goodreader) to the Tonidoplug as well. An email from Tonido tech support says it can be done, but no instructions as to how. The only upload buttons I find in the iPad client are for video and photos, (NOT files.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Currently there is no way to upload files using the Tonido app (other than photos, videos).
We are working to add support for that.

You can use other apps like OneDisk and mount the remote tonido network location as a WebDAV disk to upload any files you want.

Why is this so hard? Pogoplug won't allow file uploads either (photos and videos are fine, though.)

Uploading anything from an iPad to Dropbox is no problem. Seems to me this is a top priority functionality that's completely missing from Tonidoplug. Downloading things to your iPad with or without Tonidoplug is easy. It's getting them off the iPad apart from Itunes that is the problem.

I have an email from Tonidoplug support staff saying it IS possible to upload pdf files from an iPad to a Tonidoplug. That email is why I returned the Pogoplug and bought the Tonidoplug. My suspicion is that there are many people like me buying Tonidoplug is a Dropbox substitute who are too late finding out about this missing Tonido capability that's easy for Dropbox. This out to be made much more clear to prospective buyers.

Anxiously waiting for this functionality to be added to Tonidoplug...
