Hi there.

I do understand that there is a significant difference between say tonido and dropbox in that the sync is purely between the two computers, but the fact is it does not work.

If I restart both my macs, it will sometimes suddenly work, but even when I am on the same LAN, it just decides its had enough and nothing occurs.

According to the web interface its shows the files in recent activity, so the sync has apparently acknowledged at one end its occurring, but on the mac with just the sync plugin nothing.

And the app is quite frustrating, there is no acknowledgement, no progress bar no nothing to indicate if anything is happening.

I wouldn't mind but I have paid for pro, purely for the sync functionality. all I can find in console regarding the sync plugin is that it could not load the growl framework.

Anyhow there you go, you have 30 of my bucks and I have a non functioning service.

Is the server on Mac and you are synching another Mac to it?

We are about to release a 2.51 update. You can install the beta to see if it helps.
Otherwise please post your logs and we can check.

No does not work. Or at least its crippling slow. I cannot tell but it seems to get confused on the home network more than it does out on WAN.

At this point, without logs we can't tell what is wrong. Please post the relevant synclient log files.

I tried to find 'tonido admin' and 'advanced' as per the instructions but could find no such links so downloaded the log file from the tools page.

So to clarify.

On my macbook where I am just running the tonido sync plugin I have updated some files within the tonidosync folder.

After two days these have not appeared in my tonidsync folder on my main mac where the main Tonido app is running.

The sync plugin is very flakey.

I tried restarting the macbook, with no effect.

On your mac where you are running the sync client, just locate and post the syncclient.log file.

<HomeDir>\TonidoSyncData\client\synclcient.log

Here is the log.

I have created a new folder on the main mac and its appeared OK on the macbook, however data thats new on the macbook has not updated to the main mac.

Somehow the sync database file is corrupt.



So I recommend doing the following:
1. Stop TonidoSync
2. Delete <HomeDir>\TonidoSyncData\client folder
3. Delete any files from your TonidoSync data folder
4. Restart TonidoSync
5. It should all work now.

Well today I have reinstalled the OS from scratch onto cleaned drives on both macs running tondo. I did this for other reasons than sync not working.

So in essence two brand new OSes. (OSX 10.7.4)

Installed tonido. Put data in to the sync folder on the Server mac.

Does not show in the macbook.

I am really sorry but your product does not work, could you direct me to the refunds page as I purchased the pro product, but really need something that works.
