Need Android Beta Testers

We need some Android users to test Android app for next and subsequent releases.

After you test for a few minutes, can you pl post if the app was ok and report any issues. This help us provide great updates faster.

Things to test
Basic Features
[*]login
[*]access files
[*]download a file
[*]upload a file
[*]play music, pause, forward to next song

In addition to basic features, pl test any new features mentioned in the release notes.

While you send your comments, pl provide following info

I'm running a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 from Sprint (Model SPH-P100) Android 2.3.4. The latest version does in stall and I think it make work, but I'm not so sure as I have no previous experience with your app. On first pass this is what I am observing:

1) Cannot play a video AVI format file. "Error: Not a supported video file. Currently supports only mp4." AVI files should be supported as they do play on the Galaxy Tab. I can transfer the file via Windows Media Player to the device and it plays just fine.

2) Navigation is "klugy". When exploring files you must use the device back button, moving up one level each time. Tonido will get "confused" and lock up if you are too deep into a file structure. Seems to be and drill down further than 4 deep will lock up the app. Sugest a diffrent direction to file exploring though I do not know how to accomplish this.

3) Photos display small on the screen and of poor resolution. Orientation is diffrent between viewing on the PC monitor and viewing the same image on the Galaxy Tab.

4) No support for "Libraries" on Windows PCs.

5) I can download and upload a file. Noticed what I though was a "hang" but the program was still doing the upload/download. Consider a progress bar notification. The "little FLASH Swirly thingy" to stop swirling after a minute.

Seems ok as a basic Music Player to play one song at a time. Other streaming features or support are not evident.

As a way to gain remote access to my PC to download files it seems to be ok, but I'm not sure why I would do this. If I'm connected via my LAN I can always just go to the PC and work on the file. Though it was interesting to evaluate your product. If you are able to make AVI video files stream from Windows 7 Business(64bit) to the Samung Galaxy Tab 7.0 please let me know and I'll buy it.

Thank you for your comments. I assume you comments are for Android app that is available the market place. We opened this thread specific for Beta testing an app version that is not yet released.

I would like to beta test the android app. Currently I have Tonido setup on my NAS and I have a client I support using a Tonido Plug. I am interested in making this product more useful on mobile devices for home and business use.

I will volunteer.

Since my problem with the current version makes the program pretty much unusable, and I say that with complete respect for the power, and impressiveness of this application.

I would love to use this application, just can't read the filenames.

But I digress..... I would be happy to do some beta testing.

I would be interested in beta testing as well. I'm using an HTC Flyer WiFi 7" rooted with Honeycomb (3.4). I live in the U.S. using a computer running Tonido.
Interested in helping advance the app to make Tonido even better!

Hi DevTeam,

If it is still necessary, I like it to be a beta tester. Because I'm a developer myself, I know how to write down bugs, crashes, remarks etc.
