I got the basics working but no matter what I do I keep getting "Unable to communicate with server" and it's starting to get to me. How do I get rid of this message.

Now for the next problem.

I created 2 QR Codes (barcodes) for scanning in order to access photos. (attached)

1) http://192.168.1.109:10001/ui/core/index.html
2) http://hotshots.tonidoid.com/app/websha ... e/Pictures

The scans work flawlessly but access to files varies from android to iPhone.
Here are the results of my attempts to access the files. I hope you can help.

Android:
#1 brings me to the login page with u/n (photos) and pw (hotshots1) active when online or offline but the folder is empty and no custom header.
#2 off line does not connect(as expected) but online page loads w/custom header and directories available in folder.

iPhone:
#1 brings me to the login page with u/n (photos) and pw (hotshots1) active when online, but the folder is empty and no custom header. It Will not connect offline.
#2 same as android.

The problem must be with my configuration. I can't figure out what it is.

I want to eliminate the guest password and have the custom header visible as well as the allowed files available.

Like a bad penny, I am back.
I need a solution to the above problem. I did however make a few changes. I am now using a router to accomplish my tasks. (192.168.1.109)
I have to assume that I do not have internet access. With this in mind, here is what occurs.

Android phone: My phone is connected to the router without internet access. If I type HTTP://192.168.1.101:10001, I can access the main folder on my notebook, but it is empty. (no photos files)
iPhone3: I cannot connect at all.
I must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is.

Questions!!!!
How do I make my photos available in the folder? Where do I have to put them? I followed all the sharing instructions to no avail.
How do I get an iPhone to connect to my notebook? I know Apple hates Android but somehow there has to be a workaround.
I really need your help. Please don't ignore me as you did in the last request.
Failure to resolve this will deliver a death knell for me.

BTW Apple has no interest in helping me unless I pay them. I truly hate Apple. I'd rather pay you.

Try using the native iphone and android apps. You don't need to pay. Its free. Hopefully that will address your needs.

I finally got the iPhone and Android to connect to my notebook. Thank you for your help.

Now for the next issue.

I have attached 2 screen shots. (I am connected to my router without an internet connection.) One is what I see when I log in as admin and the other is what I see as a guest. Please note that sharing is set up under admin but the folders are not available under my computer as a guest.
I am sure I am doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is.

Can you please start a new thread for this issue and post screen shots showing the share for user "guest". (I am assuming that is the guest user name).

I just figured it all out. Utilizing Tonido Pro everything works as I had hoped. Everything shows up including the custom header both online and offline.

This even eliminated the need for u/n & pw, which I wanted as well.

Now I can say that I rate this program 5 stars.
