Several days ago I updated the Tonido software on my Plug (old version). Everything seemed to go okay, and I was able to access my files after that.

Today I attempted to remotely access the plug but could not. When I got home I tried to access the plug from my desktop, but got the message: Tonido Enabled Device Unavailable.

I could find the plug at http://www.tonidoplug.com/ip/. However, when I attempted to connect to it, my browser gives me an error of "unable to connect."

I have rebooted the plug but with no success.

Any thoughts?

thanks!

I must say, I had the exact same thing happen to me a while back on my TP(1). But I believed mine to have died. :(

Can you make sure you change the ethernet cable, restart it etc?
If the update worked then it is really unlikely your SSH is going to be available because of that.

I turned off the plug, changed to a working ethernet cable and restarted. However, I still cannot connect to the Plug, nor can I Putty into it.

What is going on?

The software update cannot disable your SSH. If you cannot connect via SSH, then the plug must not be booting up for some reason.

Yes, software update cannot disable SSH access.
If you have any USB devices connected, try to remove them and boot the plug.
Also check your router/switch to see if your plug is getting an IP address.

After trying everything - I gave up. The plug simply will not connect .... So ... I purchased to Plug 2. Hopefully it will have a longer life.
