Have a new ipad given to me at xmas, just started to try to understand what it can do. I have recorded a few voice messages on it but when I try to attach them to an email, I receive a notice that the recordig is too large.

I have tornido on my PC but have only used it once to transmit photos about a year ago. I need to be able to convert the recording to a URL in order to email it. Do I have to download tornido to my ipad.
Thanks

Tonido app on ipad is just a client, it is the equivalent for a browser.
You need to upload your recording to the Tonido on PC, then create a URL and share it with friends and family.
To upload the recording, Tonido app on ipad will be helpful.

Tonido iPad app allows you to upload photos and videos from iPad to your computer running Tonido.

If you need to transfer voice message from your iPad, you would need to use iTunes "Under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select Include Voice Memos."

Once you have transferred it, you can share it like any other file using Tonido.

Hi,
This purely a iPhone/iPad usage issue. However, I did a quick search for it in youtube.

Here are couple youtube videos that show how to do this
using iTunes -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1lyTAffEso
Directly navigating to the folder -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kq6mtNcj ... re=related

Using one of those two methods, you can get the voice memos copied over to your computer. once it is done, you can use the "share" feature of Tonido to create a share link to be sent to your family for access.

Been trying for the last 3 hours to follow above directions, my itunes opens up with a list of my music on the leftside. Cannot see any place showing devices, would appreciate one of you experts to call me and guide me through before my brain explodes. 407-889-0618 Thanks

I understand your frustration, unfortunately, as I have mentioned earlier, this is not a Tonido issue but learning to use iPhone/iPad. You would need to contact Apple support to help you extract those files or if you have an Apple store near by, you can have them guide you as well.
