Video Streaming in latest Tonido Update

Postby nth1739 » Thu Aug 19, 2010 2:05 pm

Great job with the streaming video integration, I just watched the first few minutes of an 800mb avi file via TonidoPlug! :D

This was one of the features I've been waiting for since I purchased my plug in March. I saw a lot of potential in the TonidoPlug when I first stumbled across it while searching for easy P2P file sharing. That potential is now turning into real value with each new feature CodeLathe adds. Great work!

Hi Madhan,

I do not find any vidoe API's listed on http://www.tonido.com/developer/sdk/doc ... tpapi.html

Could you please guide me to where I can find these API's. Thanks

Best Regards
Mahesh Sammatashetti

Videos are just downloaded as normal files. There is no separate API.

How much disk space is available for the Tonido plug looks like only 500 megs?

Agreed, great feature...however, is there any chance to add a m2ts file type compatibility to stream content?

You should not be installing anything in TonidoPlug's flash other than Tonido software. All data etc should be downloaded to the attached USB HDD .

The video files/Audiofiles are not really streamed (Audio can be transcoded if the appropriate option is chosen on the mobile clients).

Are you asking for the m2ts to be attempted to be played by the mobile client or the browser client? We can look into adding that.

I have several .m2ts video files that I can play on my Playstation 3 via USB. They are not recognized when I connect my PS3 to my Tonido Media Server. It would be great if they were.
