when i place a file in server's sync folder, that file appears in my client's sync folder properly.

however, the other way does not work, placing a file in my client's sync folder does not cause it to transfer to serve's sync folder.
Hovering my mouse over the sync taskbar icon, it says idle.

Please post your syncclient.log file usually located in %APPDATA%\TonidoSyncData\client

I see only one file and it has had a lot of difficulty getting uploaded to the server.

That was why it was not uploading.

However, after a lot of retries, it finally did upload OK.

So it does appear to work but the network connectivity doesn't seem good.

strange, now that i checked, it did work.

but now i placed another file, after waiting for 15 mins, its still idle

You can see the log to see if there are failures, from your previous log, there was a lot of trouble connecting and uploading the file.
Are you connected via LAN or internet?

i am connected by internet to the server
i placed another file 8 hours ago.
till now its still not synced.

The problem is something is preventing sync from happening. All the connections are being aborted.

Please check if there is any software/firewall/antivirus blocking sync from uploading files.
