client 1: windows7
client 2: windows xp
server: tonidoplug1

I do most of my updates from client1 and this is where I have been seeing problems.

ok, and in terms of changes, you are saying you are changing in MS word and it is not syncing?

One question for you: After changing the file, try saving and closing the file and see if it syncs. It might not sync if the file lock is not available.

Thats exactly what I've been doing - I've also confirmed the same behavior with excel files. I also tried a similar test with plain text files with different extensions (non-ms office) and got same result.

ok, when editing text file, you are just changing like 1 character.
Should be easy to test. We will let you know.

Yes that's correct. And the file is saved so that date modified timestamp is changed. Thanks for looking into it madhan.
