Size Mismatch after Resume Download FAILED

Hello everybody!

I've bought and set up TonidoServer. Really cool thing, thanks for your work! But something is wrong with one of the major features - sync. All the files have been uploaded from client (where tonidosync works) to server but they have not been placed in TonidoSync directory on the server, indeed, they hung somewhere inside TonidoSyncData. Any ideas?

That does look like an issue. We will check this and get back to you. Thanks for reporting.

Did that file cimg1327.jpg size ever get changed?

This issue can only arise if the size is reported as one thing and when the download happens it is unexpectedly different.

What OS is your server running on?

That is true, size of the file on the server is smaller than on the client. And I definitely did not change it manually

How shall I handle this?

I've just scp it to the server replacing both occurrences... sync continues.... anyway, software need to handle this right.

yes, this is a mystery. Sync keeps a copy of the file and a record of the expected size. There is a mismatch, not fully clear why or how this happened.
We will see how to handle this.

I am running into similar problems. I am running an Ubuntu 10.04 machine as the server and have a Windows 7 client and Ubuntu 12.04 client. Occasionally, when the server tries to Sync files from the Windows 7 client it hangs with an error of [Sync]:E: Download FAILED: halophilic_outline_3_30_2012.lyx Bad File Size (except the file name will be different). The log file is filled with hundreds of lines outputting the exact same message. The really bizarre part is that this problem prevents any changes on the server to be synced to the clients. However, if I say make a new file on my Windows 7 client, it will sync to the Ubuntu 12.04 client but won't show up in the server's TonidoSync/ folder. I usually resolve the problem by hunting down the file and deleting every copy. However, this happens almost every other week and it is quite frustrating. I can't seem to figure out what is special about the files that break the sync. These are files I haven't changed in weeks but suddenly there is a problem. Note I am running the most updated software on the servers and clients. I can attach any logfiles that you might need.

Yes, this is the behaviour which brought me again to give up on TonidoSync. One error and Sync will sync the same files over and over again until it comes to the error and once again over and over again the same files up to the error. Until I search out the problematic file and delete it.

@cbaker, please provide us with a problem file name, path and size and we can check if there are some patterns.
