Hello,

I changed my {HomeDir}\TonidoSync folder because i didnt have enough space on my homedir. But it seems that the {HomeDir}\TonidoSyncData\server\stage folder is filling up. So should i change all the folders? And when i change my directory {HomeDir}\TonidoSyncData\server. Should i copy other directorys like "cache" and "stage"? Or just change directory and done?

Yes, you can change the location of the SyncData Server folder as well.

Stop Tonido.
Move that folder to the new location.
Change the xml file specified here
http://www.tonido.com/support/display/d ... +on+Server
Restart.

After having set the values as discribed in the referred article, the tonido server is still filling up my "old" location so %APPDIR%\Tonido\data\profiles\USERNAME\userdata\TonidoSyncData\server..
My syncserverconfig looks like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<variantrow>
<rowentry>
<name>syncclientlocation</name>
<type>string</type>
<value>DEFAULT</value>
</rowentry>
<rowentry>
<name>syncfolderlocation</name>
<type>string</type>
<value>D:\TonidoSyncData</value>
</rowentry>
<rowentry>
<name>syncserverlocation</name>
<type>string</type>
<value>DEFAULT</value>
</rowentry>
</variantrow>

I expected TOnido to fill D:\TonidoSyncData instead of the default location. What am I doing wrong.... Still LOVING Tonido... It's just sync I would like to work 100%...

Cheers,

Willem from Holland....

Did you restart Tonido after changing value?
Can you post your tonido log file?

Problem found, for some reason after making the RIGHT change see below and a stop/start the syns is running. This is my "new" altered syncserverconfig
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<variantrow>
<rowentry>
<name>syncclientlocation</name>
<type>string</type>
<value>DEFAULT</value>
</rowentry>
<rowentry>
<name>syncfolderlocation</name>
<type>string</type>
<value>DEFAULT</value>
</rowentry>
<rowentry>
<name>syncserverlocation</name>
<type>string</type>
<value>D:\TonidoSyncData</value>
</rowentry>
</variantrow>

This one is "dumping" the sync data to the new location. My problem was that I've forgotten to copy the old location into the new... Therefor the SYNCSERVER created a new mapping structure which, for some reason, pointed towards itself... Now all is running 100%..... :D

One question though, when will the My Synced Files be populated??? Mine is still empty after a few minutes of dumping info....
See attached screenshot for the license and my synced folder...

If you change directories, depending upon the initial size, it might take some time for initial download. You can see the status in the log file.

Where is this logfile located? And is this on the server or the tonidosync client?

Cheers,

Willem

This is just the standard tonido.log file on the server.

One issue is that you might need to delete the syncclient.db in the TonidoSyncData/client directory to make it redo the sync. Otherwise it might think everything is up to date.

In fact, I would almost advise to delete the syncserver.db file as well and do the same on all the clients as well and start fresh.

Thanxs for that tip...

When will the synced files be populated? After the sync has fully been done or also between start and end?? :?:

Reason is that the sync is restarting and still no info in the My SYnced Files.... Allthough logs are showing that info is pushed and saved in the stage location....

Cheers,
